The court
The court was once a part of a small village where several neighbours lived close to each other. Today, there are still buildings built in different time eras to be seen at Kartveit, like the old underground potato storage or a new farm building for modern farm equipment, built in old traditional style. The Kartveit guest house used to be the dwelling house of the farm until 1968. The oldest room in the house has lumber from the 17th century. In 2009, the house was renovated in 2009, to meet all modern needs.
The house:
- Three bedrooms, all with twin beds. Out of two living rooms, one can also be used as a bedroom. Two extra mattresses and a child bed are also available
- Two bathrooms with tiles, showers and heated floors. One barthroom has a double jacuzzi. Washing machine with dryer is also available
- Fully equipped kitchen, included a dishwasher
- Electric heating and a fire place
- The parking lot has room for four cars. A large garden offers lots of sunlight and magnificant views throughout the year
